Microsoft Certifications Integrated into Chandigarh University Online MCA Programme in Strategic Collaboration with Microsoft and Internshala

Chandigarh University Online has integrated Microsoft Certifications into its Online MCA programme starting July 2026–26 in collaboration with Microsoft and Internshala. The initiative includes six globally recognized certifications in AI, cloud computing, data analytics, and software development to enhance employability and industry readiness.

Chandigarh University Online has announced the integration of Microsoft Certifications into its Online Master of Computer Applications programme, marking a major academic enhancement aimed at strengthening industry alignment and global employability. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with US-based global technology leader Microsoft.

The Online MCA Degree programme with embedded Microsoft Certifications will commence from the upcoming academic session 2026–26 beginning in July. The announcement was made during a formal launch event held in Bengaluru, which was attended by Joel Ganesan from Microsoft, Chandigarh University Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Raviraja N. Seetharam, and Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Director of CU Online.

During the event, Prof. (Dr.) Raviraja N. Seetharam stated that Chandigarh University remains committed to delivering learner-centric, globally relevant, and industry-aligned academic programmes designed to prepare students for emerging opportunities in the digital economy. He emphasized that the upgraded Online MCA programme has been structured to develop future-ready technology professionals by combining academic rigor with globally recognized industry certifications.

The programme integrates a total of six Microsoft Certifications into its curriculum. These include Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900), Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), GitHub Foundation and Copilot Certifications (GH-900 and GH-300), Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), and Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). These certifications focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Software Development, Data Analytics, and IT Administration, all of which are expected to significantly enhance student employability and technical expertise.

Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Director CU Online, highlighted that the integration of Microsoft Certifications into the MCA curriculum will improve practical skills, global exposure, and career opportunities for learners across India and beyond. He noted that the collaboration addresses the growing demand for industry-relevant skills in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing, ensuring students become more job-ready and professionally competitive.

He further added that continuous learning is essential for workforce relevance in the modern era. Chandigarh University Online currently offers ten academic programmes, including three undergraduate and seven postgraduate courses designed for working professionals and remote learners. The undergraduate programmes include Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Computer Applications, and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication. The postgraduate programmes include Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication, Master of Computer Applications, Master of Science in Data Science, Master of Arts in Economics, Master of Arts in English, and Master of Business Administration.

In a parallel development, Chandigarh University Online has also established a collaboration with Internshala, India’s leading career platform, which is trusted by more than 400,000 companies and offers over 120,000 paid internships, jobs, online training programmes, and placement courses. The collaboration was formally unveiled in Bengaluru by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Raviraja N. Seetharam and Rachita Chanana, Placement Lead at Internshala.

Prof. (Dr.) Raviraja N. Seetharam stated that these partnerships are aimed at enhancing career readiness by providing students with access to industry-relevant opportunities and practical exposure. He emphasized that modern education must extend beyond degrees to ensure learners remain adaptable, relevant, and future-ready in a rapidly evolving global job market.

Chandigarh University, recognized as a National Assessment and Accreditation Council A Plus Grade institution and a QS World Ranked University, is an autonomous educational institution approved by the University Grants Commission and located near Chandigarh in the state of Punjab. It is acknowledged as the youngest university in India and the only private university in Punjab to receive an A Plus Grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The university offers more than 109 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across diverse fields including engineering, management, pharmacy, law, architecture, journalism, animation, hotel management, and commerce, and has been recognized for outstanding placement outcomes.
